Dad: You look like a fucking beatnik.
Me: I'm not a fucking beatnik! You've become such a crotchety old man!
Dad: The silly hat, the goatee, the leather jacket. You were born in the wrong time. Why couldn't I have a normal son?

Me: If you got into meditation you wouldn't be so crotchety. This guy, Alan Watts, he is the bridge of Eastern and Western philosophies. He calls himself an 'entertainer' but he's really just the unbiased voice of the Universe. He'll make all the stress over bills disappear...
Dad: Yeah, beatnik shit.
Me: Holy shit! I am a fucking beatnik!
